The Workshop in the Woods experience is a Living History immersive hands-on approach in teaching the California 7th Grade History Curriculum specializing in Medieval and Renaissance Europe, both as a field trip and in school presentations.

Originally created by educators as a Homeschool Enrichment teaching tool in the 1960's, Workshop in the Woods has grown over the years to serve most of California. Its diverse history program has been modified and upgraded over the years to meet and exceed the ever changing California Core Curriculum.

Being advised and guided by accredited 7th Grade teachers, we have created a fun, interactive and memorable way for students and adults to learn about our history and our ancestors' celebratory ways, helping us better understand ourselves, where we come from and why things are.
